He captured the nightmares of audiences around the world in the hit Netflix docu-series Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer. 

Now, in a CC21 original, former LA County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau Detective Gil Carrillo takes a look back at how he got into law enforcement and his illustrious 38 year career investigating over 700 homicides in the city of Angels.

From his early days as a patrol officer, to a Rookie with a ‘hunch’ that lead to the arrest of Richard Ramirez, to being promoted to Lieutenant Detective (making him the first Latino reach that rank), Carrillo is often considered to be one of the best homicide detectives in the country.
