You can see them, but you look right through them. Some are transparent while they study their victims, learn their habits, and ascertain their vulnerabilities. They are silent predators – until they strike, committing unspeakable acts against their hapless victims. As they find new ways to hunt their prey, law enforcement endeavors to look for new ways to catch them. Have advancements in law enforcement, forensic science, and psychology given us inroads into catching them? How does the identity of an active serial killer come to the attention of the police?

By using case examples, this presentation by CC alumni speaker John White, a psychology professor and former investigator sergeant, will delineate how the most psychopathic criminals among us, both popular as well as more obscure killers, are caught and convicted.
